If you are on a gluten-free diet, we can help you enjoy the benefits of the Scottish Gluten-Free Food Service. This is an NHS service which allows you to order and receive gluten-free food through your pharmacy instead of GP.

The Gluten-Free Food Service is an optional programme designed for people who need to follow a gluten-free diet as part of their medical care.
The service is available through community pharmacies across Scotland. All approved gluten-free foods are supplied free of charge on prescription. Please note this service is only available to customers with the condition.
The new gluten-free food service being offered in Scotland has a number of benefits for you:
No GP Required
You no longer need to order supplies through your GP.
Flexible Options
You decide the quantity and variety of products you need each month, however this quantity can be limited due to your age, gender and personal circumstances.
Wider Choice
There is a far greater range of products available to choose from.
Annual Check
Your pharmacist can offer you an annual health check, at a time convenient for you, to help monitor and stay on top of your condition.
Speak to your GP to find out if your eligible and if so, how many gluten-free units are available to you each month.
Your GP will give you a signed registration form you can hand into us.
You will be registered by the Pharmacist and we will give you more information about the food list and how easy it is to order.
